House of Asylum for Mothers with Children in Jasmínové Street c.p. 2904/35, Prague 10 originated by reconstruction of former nursery school. In the object available for the applicants are nine flats intended for passing by the crisis period. Usually it is the period of one to six months, in exceptional and justified cases as many as twelve months. That facility provides efficient assistance to the mothers and children who are in a heavy social or life situation that they cannot solve themselves. Priority have the applicants with permanent stay in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10. In case of free capacity also applicants from other districts of Prague are accepted.
Available in the facility are flat units of the size 1 + kitchen corner that are equipped with sanitary facility, kitchen line, furniture, bed linen, built-in wardrobe, refrigerator, electric stove, iron, linen drier, ironing-board, dishes, boiling kettle, etc. The Clients may use the laundry equipped with automatic washing machines and drying room. Further then with room for visits with TV and two canteens. If necessary, it is possible to lend children beds, children seats, prams, etc. For the children a children corner is built in the building and in the adjacent garden a playground with structures for crawling through and playpit. The Clients of the House of Asylum are provided with professional services and necessary information by the social workers. They help them in mediation of employment, finding suitable medical services and permanent living. The basic services include training of social skills, help during talks at the authorities and elaboration of written filings in the interest of the Client.
The House of Asylum cooperates with non-profit-making and other organizations. On the basis of mutual agreement it includes the Clients of the House of Asylum to the relevant programmes (e.g., teaching of care for the child, basic user's skills of work with computer or improvement of communication skills).
The condition of stay is establishing good cooperation with the workers of the House of Asylum, observance of the House rules, payment for stay and effort of the mothers to solve their unfavourable situation. The whole object is continuously guarded by security guard.
The focus of the whole project consists in the cooperation of Municipal District Prague 10 and the Centre of Community Work Prague 10, a generally beneficial company that ensures the operation of the House of Asylum.
Potential applicants for accommodation in the House of Asylum may turn to the Social Department of the Authority of Municipal District Prague 10.

The worker of the Social Department registers and collects applications for stay in the House of Asylum for the Mothers with Children, checks formal and material correctness of data presented in the application – if they are missing, she contacts the applicant and her social worker with a request for completion of those missing data and summons OSO work group for talks about acceptance to the House of Asylum for the Mothers with Children.
