On December 1, 2008 the first of four LDN departments is opened with free 20 beds. In the near future, however, there will be substantially more free beds. The newly reconstructed medical institution will provide, apart from long-term nursing care for chronically ill patients, also specialized nursing care and rehabilitation oriented at targeted and timely mobilization and activation of patients with cardiovascular diseases and patients after injuries and operations.

The equipment will be completed by the complement including, apart from basic biological and haematological examinations and basic radiodiagnostic methods (X-ray, sonography) also nuclear magnetic resonance. Each department will newly be equipped with hygienic, rehabilitation and handling aids to make work of the staff easier – mobile baths, hygienic shower armchairs, lifting devices, setting aids…. A part is also ultrasound diagnostic device for overall examination, including Doppler and new ECG devices, all with the possibility of connection to the institute computer network and storage of results directly to the digital case record of the patient.
