The Social and Health Commission (KSZ) monitors and proposes the development of social facilities network in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10. Further, it monitors the economy and activity of contributory organization, the Centre of Social and Nursing Assistance in Prague 10 as an organization established by Municipal District Prague 10 for ensuring the performance of social services.
It monitors and evaluates suggestions and opinions in connection with the function of establisher, founder and owner performed in health care facilities in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10.
The Commission helps in creating conditions of ensuring quality and accessible health and social care in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10 and in this connection helps in the coordination among Municipal District Prague 10, the individual founders of health care facilities in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10, the other Municipal Districts, the Capital of Prague, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
The Commission evaluates applications for allocation of flat units in the social care facilities in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10 according to law No. 108/2006 Coll. The Commission discharges suggestions and complaints of the citizens addressed to it.
The Commission monitors comments, suggestions and opinions in connection with drug prevention and prevention of the other socially pathological phenomena in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10. It participates in the elaboration of the conception of anti-drug policy and conception of the other socially pathological phenomena within the territory of Municipal District Prague 10 and collects information about the development of drug situation and the other socially pathological phenomena in this Municipal District. It assesses projects in this field, proposes the way of their financing and monitors effective use of subsidies, gifts, sponsors' contributions for those projects.
The Commission monitors the fulfilment of the conception approved for the social field, or proposes its supplementing according to the current state and needs of the citizens of Municipal District Prague 10. The Commission assists in creation of conditions for completion of transformation in the social field.
The Commission monitors the course of the process of social services community planning in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10. It participates in the preparation of medium-term plan of social services development in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10, especially, in the form of opinions and comments on the materials elaborated within the framework of the process of social services community planning.
The Commission gives opinions on the applications of non-state organizations active in the social field for provision of financial means, gifts, etc. The Commission cooperates on particular projects with the Commission for Grants and Structural Funds in the social and health fields.
