The agenda falling into the field of safety, including safety in traffic is submitted by the Council and other municipal institutions to the Safety Commission (KB) that will discuss the problems and will propose a particular solution to the Council.

On its regular sessions the Commission is informed about safety and traffic situation in the territory of the Municipal District and in compliance with its conception may submit initiative proposals to the Council. The Commission discusses the suggestions and complaints of the citizens and looks for optimum solutions. In close cooperation with the Social and Health Commission the Commission pays maximum attention to the drug and anti-drug problems. For the purpose of publishing information about its activity the Commission uses the paper “Prague 10”.

The Commission cooperates with the Safety Commission of the Municipal Authority of the Capital of Prague and Safety Commissions of the other municipal parts for the purpose of exchange of information. The Commission cooperates with other commissions of the Council of relevant orientation (e.g., the Commission for Upbringing and Education, Social and Health Commission, Commission for Grants and Structural Funds).
The Commission directs its activity, apart from other, also at an improvement of the situation in traffic and safety of road transport in the territory of Municipal District Prague 10. Further, it orientates at pre-school and school traffic education of the children and the youth.
