Municipal District Prague 10 supports the development of cycling traffic and also on the basis of the suggestions of the citizens prepares several undertakings for the next period.

At present the general plan of cycling paths is elaborated in the territory of Prague 10 which is the basis for planning cycling paths and cycling tracks within the framework of the Municipal District linked up to the surroundings. Its content are, apart from detailed lines of the paths and tracks also designs for bicycle stands at important places, for lines of children cycling tracks and cycling paths or change of one-way streets into two-way streets for bicyclists.

In parallel talks are conducted on the lines of three city backbone cycling paths with the Municipal Authority of the Capital of Prague that will finance their accomplishment.

Municipal District Prague 10 addressed significant commercial chains with a request for installation of quality bicycle stands that would enable their safe location and support the use of bicycles as the means of transport.

At present safe bicycle stands are already in front of both entrances of the building of the Authority of Municipal District Prague 10.

We also solve the suggestions of the citizens for the traffic of the bicyclists in the opposite direction of one-way roads – in this field we look for possibilities that, however, depend on their technical conditions.
