Project Applications submitted within the framework of Operation Programme Prague Competitiveness

Revitalization of Park Malinová – Chrpová in Municipal District Prague 10

Territorial Development Section and the Section of the Environment prepared, in cooperation with projection office Šafer Hájek Architekti s.r.o. a study and subsequently also a project for planning procedure for the revitalization of the park Malinová – Chrpová. Designed within the framework of that project is the connection of the parks Malinová and Chrpová into one functional whole. A part of the project is overall restoration of the parks that will consist, especially, in restoration of landscape arrangements, reconstruction of park paths will be performed, two separated playgrounds for different age categories will be built, installation of a new park mobiliary will be performed and, especially, a new dominant water element will be created. The main objective of this revitalization is the creation of an integrated central area of quality park verdure in the territory of Záběhlice that will provide sufficient area for ensuring recreation of the inhabitants of this district of Prague 10.

From financial means of Municipal District Prague 10 a study was elaborated of suitability of accomplishment of the plan, complete documentation for town-planning procedure.

Within the framework of call No. 1 for submitting applications for grant from Operation Programme Prague Competitiveness published during January, 2008 the duty is provided for for the submitted of grant to participate in the financing of the project with 10 % of the total sum. Set in the project is the term of accomplishment of the individual activities and connected with them drawing of financial means for the period of January, 2009 – December, 2010.

Overall budget of the project is approximately CZK 65 000 000.- with VAT; from it Municipal District Prague 10 pays 10 %, i.e., ca CZK 6 500000.-. Financial co-participation in the amount of 10 % was approved by resolution No. 7/12/2008 of February 14, 2008.

Complex Solution of Energy Savings in Selected Nursery Schools in Prague 10

The project falls under Priority Axis 2 – the Environment, Field of Support 2.2 – Economic and Sustainable Use of Energies and Natural Resources, OP PK.

The project under preparation suggests a complex solution of energy savings of three nursery schools in Prague 10. They are nursery school Hřibská, nursery school Útulná and nursery school Ve Stínu. The nursery schools are of similar structure. The recently performed energy audit of all of those nursery schools recommended the performance of building arrangements for achievement of a decrease of thermal losses and for saving energy consumption.

At present all three building are not insulated and have considerable thermal losses. All casing structures are of materials that have very bad thermal insulation properties. The windows and doors are unsuitable, as well as the technical condition of the system of heating.

Energy audits elaborated for the purposes of this project according to law No. 406/2000 in August and September, 2007 showed that the buildings of all three nursery schools do not comply with the requirements laid down for building structures from the point of view of thermal resistance according to the valid ČSN 73 0540.

The project sets as its aim a complex solution of energy saving of three nursery schools. According to the assessment of the individual energy audits especially elaborated for the purposes of these projects the majority of casing structures of the objects of nursery schools does not comply with the requirements laid down for building structures from the point of view of thermal resistance according to the valid ČSN 73 0540.

The project proposes the following complex solution:

  1. Realization of building arrangements that will lead to an economic use of energies
    • Thermal insulation of outer walls of above-ground floors, possibly, of parts of basements
    • Thermal insulation of the roof and other vertical structures
    • Replacement of the windows and doors
    • Reconstruction of the system of heating
    • Reconstruction of electric wirings
  2. Installation of thermal pumps using renewable natural resources
    The energy audit of the buildings recommended the installation of thermal pumps as an ideal economic solution of heating of warm water.

Overall budget of the project is ca CZK 47 000 000.-,
Financial co-participation of Municipal District is ca CZK 4 700 000.-. (10%). Financial co-participation of Municipal District Prague 10 in the amount of 10% was approved by resolution No. 7/9/2008 ZMČ of February 14, 2008.

Revitalization of areas at the crossroad of the Streets Průběžná and V Olšinách (it will be submitted by the Capital of Prague within the framework of the 2nd call of Operation Programme Prague Competitiveness)

  • The area of the change tram stop Průběžná (in the Str. V Olšinách) is an unsatisfactory area in the long term discouraging the inhabitants from the use of public tram transport.
    During 2007 the Territorial Development Section procured a project for revitalization of the area of tram stop Průběžná. The project counts with an essential change of the plain and dangerous change tram stop into modern municipal area with verdure and full-grown trees.
    Elaborated from the financial means of Municipal District Prague 10 were complete building documentation, feasibility study with economic and financial analysis, and project application itself was prepared. Because the owner of the land in which the stop is located is the Capital of Prague, the applicant for grant will be the Section of Management of Property of the Municipal Authority of the Capital of Prague. The term of accomplishment of the individual activities and connected with them drawing of financial means for the period of January, 2009 – December, 2010.
    Overall budget of the project is CZK 24 000 000.- with VAT.
    Approved by resolution of Municipal District Board No. 7/10/2008 of February 14, 2008 was the financial co-participation of Municipal District Prague in the amount of CZK 2.42 million (10%). However, with regard to the fact that the submitter will be the Section of Management of Property of the Municipal Authority of the Capital of Prague, probably no financial co-participation of Municipal District Prague 10 will be required.
  • Increase of safety of road transport on backbone roads in Prague 10 (it will be submitted by the Capital of Prague within the framework of the 2nd call of Operation Programme Prague Competitiveness)
    During 2005 – 2007 the Section of Transport and Power Engineering prepared a project called: “Increase of Safety of Road Transport on Backbone Roads in Prague 10”. Selected by the workers of the Section were the sections of ground roads in the territory of Prague 10 where, with regard to very intensive car traffic and high occurrence of pedestrians those most vulnerable participants in traffic are endangered. They are ca 55 places where safety measures were proposed at the existing pedestrians´ crossings that should ensure reduced possibility of clash of a pedestrian with the vehicle. Included into the project are barrier-less arrangements.
    Elaborated from the financial means of Municipal District Prague 10 are complete building documentation, feasibility study with economic and financial analysis and the project application itself is under preparation. With VAT. The term of accomplishment of the individual activities and connected with them drawing of financial means relates to the period of January, 2009 – December, 2010.
    Approved by resolution No. 7/8/2008 of Municipal District Board from February 14, 2008 was the co-financing of Municipal District Prague 10 in the amount of 10% of the total amount. However, with regard to the fact that the applicant for the grant will be the Section of Transport of Municipal Authority of the Capital of Prague, another mode of co-financing originates, probably without the participation of Municipal District Prague 10.

Overall budget of the complete project is approximately CZK 50 000 000.-.
